What's the POINT?

Point working definition: the most prominent or important idea

  • As the Church (the Body of Christ), we are the only people with the authority, opportunity, and obligation to lead others to Christ.
  • As business men and women, we are in the position to serve, help meet needs, help solve problems, an help others to fulfill desired goals.
  • We are led by the example of the Carpenter, a businessman committed to His Father's business.
  • We believe that if we focus on our Father's business (leading others to Christ, helping to strengthen the relationships between believers and the Father as businessmen and businesswomen), our rewards and blessings will exceed money.
  • As businessmen and businesswomen, we have had to learn many of the skills necessary to position ourselves to be major soul winners for the Kingdom.

 

POINT Mission Statement

  • SERVE: POINT Members will actively serve as leaders within the body of Christ by encouraging others to become more like Christ and to lead people to Christ.
  • INTEGRITY: The POINT ministry is merely a part of the larger Body that serves to lead others to Christ. As Christian businesspeople, we believe that we are important in helping to bring back integrity by living by a higher standard than the world around us in every aspect of our lives and not merely when we are doing business in the marketplace.
  • LEADERSHIP: POINT members will play a major role in helping to meet the needs of those around us, especially the needs of the Body of Christ by providing genuine leadership as a disciple of Christ and assisting others in becoming the same.
  • CHRIST-CENTERED: In order for us to lead effectively, we will work not merely for financial gain, but for the spiritual well-being of all involved. This is important because of the impact that is made in the lives of others -- career connections, mentoring, promoting a Christ-centered approach to life vs. a dollar-centered approach to life.
  • SIMPLICITY: We promote a simple calling: know Christ intimately, love Him with our whole being, share Him with others, serve Him by serving others, and live in a matter that gives Him glory. In our high-tech society, many in the chuch and outside the church have gotten confused about the entire POINT of life. Our goal is to lead by example, to the glory of God.
